Another first

We had our first haircut that we didn't throw a fit at! I know this may seem trivial but Wyatt has had about a dozen haircuts since he was three-months old and you would think at some point he would just get used to them. Oh no, not my child. Every time he gets a haircut he screams, cries, and ends up completely covered in hair because he won't sit in the chair or wear the cape. I also forgot to mention that I usually end up covered in hair as well because he eventually sits but only on my lap.
Today, Wyatt got a haircut before we headed out to Chanute and I was all set and prepping him for it. I told him before heading to daycare that he would be getting one and I would pick him up early for it. Then when I got him from daycare we had a whole conversation about acting like a big boy and not crying and sitting in the chair with the cape on the whole time. We went inside and he actually did all the good things he should have been doing all the other times. He happily sat in the chair on a bucket. He didn't mind the cape at all. He even let her wet his hair with the spray bottle. Shock!! I attribute this new behavior to a bribe. I gave him fruit snacks to eat only if he acted like a big boy in the chair. He did and even went beyond my expectations. There was not a tear shed the whole time. Hopefully this is a new trend for haircuts. :)
