2010 Survey


It is time for the 2nd Annual Year-End Survey! Have fun!!

1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before? "I was a mother to a baby that is now a toddler."

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? "I don't make new year's resolutions."

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? "This was another great baby year! My friend Kim gave birth to baby #2 Dorian in February. My friend Amber gave birth to her daughter Allyson Leah in March. Another friend, Christina gave birth to #2 Brady in May and my friend Stacie gave birth to Abraham in August."

4. Did anyone close to you die? "No."

5. What countries did you visit? "Unfortunately none."

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010? "Well I'm getting on the organization track but want to keep it up and get even more stuff organized in my home."

7. What dates froom 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? "May 21, 2010 because it was Wyatt's first birthday!"

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? "Made through another school year and found a great daycare for Wyatt to go to in Wamego. No more commuting!"

9. What was your biggest failure? "Not getting a Standard of Excellence in Reading or Math."

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? "Allergies and a major sinus infection. I was in denial the whole time, I should have went in earlier and it wouldn't have been so bad."

11. What was the best thing you bought? "I bought a new Fall/Spring wardrobe for school and absolutely love it. Great flats and even skinny capris!"

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? "Mike, as always, being a great father and husband! He switched jobs yet again to be closer to us and spend more time at home."

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? "Not really sure. I'm so busy with my life right now that I don't have time to worry about anyone elses."

14. Where did most of your money go? "Unfortunately my money mainly goes to buy things for Wyatt or to eat out. I love to eat out, what can I say!"

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? "Going back to work after being off all summer. Sorry I'm not meant to be a stay-at-home mom!"

16. What song will always remind you of 2010? "Teenage Dream by Katy Perry."

17. Compared to this time last year are you: a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer? "I would say that I'm probably fatter and just as happy and rich as I was before."

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? "Spent more time with friends."

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? "I'm sure I've ate way too much food and drank way more pop that one person should in a year."

20. How did you spend Christmas? "We went to Chanute the weekend before to celebrate with my family. Then on Christmas Eve we went to Mike's parent's house for a celebration. Then Christmas Day was just us chilling at home."

21. Did you fall in love in 2010? "I'm already in love with my guys!"

22. What was your favorite TV program? "Anything reality related. Pretty much the same as last year series-wise."

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? "Don't think so."

24. What was the best book you read? "Probably Sarah Palin's book Going Rogue. It was a great book!"

25. What was your greatest musical discovery? "I now know the theme songs for Fresh Beat Band, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Yo Gabba Gabba, Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go. I wouldn't necessarily call them a musical discovery but they are quite catchy!"

26. What did you want and get? "New pots and pans!"

27. What did you want and not get? "Not sure. A cleaner house! But I could have solved that problem by cleaning it myself!"

28. What was your favorite film of this year? "Finally got to watch it after I bought it but my girls did it again, Sex and The City 2."

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? "I turned 27 and Mike, Wyatt, and I went out to eat at On The Border."

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? "Making Standard of Excellence in both Reading and Math."

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010? "I'm trying to try new things and trends even if I think I'm too old for them. Hey, I tried skinny pants and they looked good!"

32. What kept you sane? "Anyone who let me call them while I was driving, just so I could speak in peace!"

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? "Giuliana and Bill Rancic love their show!"

34. What political issue stirred you the most? "Mid-term elections. I followed them very closely and watched the votes come in and the Senate became Republican controlled."

35. Who did you miss the most? "Amber and Sammi."

36. Who was the best new person you met? "We have a couple of new teachers at our school and they are incredibly nice."

37. Tell a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009. "Life and work are a give an take. You have to take from one thing to give to another. It's trying to find that balance that works for both and for you at the right time. I'm still trying to find that balance and getting closer to it."

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. "It felt good on my ips!-Tim McGraw"
