Block Park

Today Wyatt and I were home because he wasn't feeling well and we met my father-in-law for lunch at Gambino's. On the way there we pass a cemetery. I never really thought about how I would explain what a cemetery was to a toddler. I grew up with 2 cemeteries surrounding my house we always knew what they were and played at them on a pretty regular basis. Don't judge, that's what happens when you grown up in a neighborhood that has only three people younger than forty and those people around forty were our parents. There weren't any kids for us to play with! As we drove by Wyatt kept asking about the "blocks" and saying that he wanted to go play on them. It apparently looks like a lot of fun and I can't deny it because that's where I spent a lot of time as a child. He then goes on to call it the "Block Park" and that he can't wait to go play there. For now I'm going to let him keep calling it the block park and just be glad that we don't live close to one because I know he would be there in a heartbeat!
