The Straw

Yes, I'm referring to the straw that broke the camels back. This morning Wyatt had a total melt down all because I was in the shower and he couldn't see me and that was the point that I decided that Summer Institute activities could wait. Ever since summer has started we have been experiencing some separation anxiety from Momma and even the slightest chance that he can't see me isn't good. Yesterday, I went to a Math meeting for our new curriculum that we are adopting and he went to Aunt Cheryl's for the morning. Everything went well while he was there but that afternoon when we got home he was stuck on me and wouldn't play at all. So we are back to square one from when he was sick. So this morning when I wanted to take a shower and he couldn't see me it sent him over the edge. He was literally throwing himself out of his walker and just flailing around his arms and head while screaming and crying. It was too much. I had a point where I just said I'm not going. Summer Institute can wait and will be around next year. Right now my baby needs me and that's where I'm going to be. Inspiring Momma moment for me!
