This is one for the books!
Wyatt has been invited to a couple of birthday parties for his friends at daycare and we have been very happy to accept them. Today we were heading to Manhattan for Braxton's birthday party and I knew that it was going to be a doozy! Wyatt hadn't taken a nap all day and was in a very grouchy moody. This seems to be the trend lately! Once we got to the party I knew it wasn't going to go well. He started fussing as soon as we got there. He didn't want to paint with the other kids and wanted to jump in the bouncy house. Then it started raining and he had to get out of the bouncy house and come in. Then he wanted to paint when everyone was done. Another fit was thrown! We got in the house and he needed to go to the bathroom. We didn't make it in time and he got pee on his pants. Then he didn't want to wear those pants anymore and of course we didn't have any to change into! Another fit was thrown! I convinced him to just go play since it was very little and would dry shortly. He played for all of two minutes before he threw another fit. So we packed up our stuff and left. It was soooooo embarrassing. We were there for literally TEN MINUTES! Hopefully this is something to check off the parenting list and it won't happen again.
