Well on Sunday we fed Wyatt rice cereal for the first time! He did such a good job eating it too! :) He was really into it and tried to open his mouth when I put the spoon to it. He still wants to suck the spoon when I put it in there but he's getting the hang of it. We ate some more cereal tonight and he did really well again. We are going to try cereal every night even if it's only a couple of spoonfuls.
We went to Target on Sunday and I got to buy baby food! I was so excited. We bought squash, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, and carrots. We will start with the squash and work our way to the green veggies. I'm hoping next week he'll be ready to possibly try the veggies but we'll see.

So cute! I remember how exciting it was to give Layken food for the first time. Aww, the little things that get mommys excited :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I am going to try to wait closer to 5 months for cereal - if I can hold him off and I'm going to be adventurous and make his baby food - at least the veggies and fruits! I'm just not sure Jack's little tummy can handle even rice cereal at this point! Boo..
