Well I'm sure this is what every parents says but we have entered the terrible 2's early! We are having such difficulties with Wyatt and his behavior. He will do well for a couple of days and then he becomes a holy terror overnight. We have been using a time out spot for him and that works okay but we are having such a terrible time with his temper and throwing things. If he is mad the first thing he does is find the closest thing to him and throw it. You tell him to put something away and he will throw it instead.
So I've started a new thing today and we'll see if it works! When I ask him to do something he has to tell me "okay" so I know that he heard me. This was difficult at first but it's getting better. Now I don't have him say OK for everything but the major things at least. I just want him to start acknowledging that we are talking to him and telling him something. Wish me luck!! :)
Clark has been displaying signs of "terrible 2s" for a couple months. He throw stuff, usually at our head, hits things and lately has been experimenting with pinching. Not just kind of pinching, but pinching really hard in delicate places like the under side of our arm or your face. Oh and screaming at the top of his lungs too. Time out doesn't really work, just trying REALLY REALLY hard to reward the good and try to ignore the irritating. :) Good luck because I know what a challenge it is and how embarrasing it can be.
