We are in the process of cleaning up our backyard. Powder has been moved to her new home, north of Topeka with a very nice couple that will let her be an inside dog, and now we start cleaning up the mess she left behind. The first two years we had her she destroyed EVERYTHING. I wish that was an understatement. She chewed up a dozen duck decoys, siding, trash, and more. Pretty much anything in the backyard was unsafe and had the potential to be destroyed.
Now that she is gone we spent the past weekend cleaning up all of that stuff. We have been racking, seeding, and fertilizing since Saturday and let me tell you that I'm exhausted. We spent about 4 hours doing all of this on Saturday and then finished up some projects on Sunday. Needless to say my back is completely shot now!! Sunday was pure torture and Tylenol popping of a day. My muscles were screaming for some TLC. Well they are getting it today. I have stayed home from work and taken a sick day because climbing three flights of stairs a dozen or more time today was just too much for me. I'm now on the road to recovery and hopefully should be back to my old self tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!
