Well this past weekend we got Wyatt a potty seat to put on our toilet. He has finally started to take an interest in what is going on in his diaper in just the past month. We were never going to push potty training because we didn't want the nightmare before he was ready but he apparently isn't ready but has taken interest!
He picked out a Sesame Street potty seat and loved it so much because it had Elmo on it! Go figure!! That weekend he asked to sit on the potty 4 times, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. He didn't do anything but at least he wanted to sit on the potty.
We have gotten into a routine of using the potty before we take a bath and he really seems to enjoy that. We haven't actually peed or pooped but you can tell he feels so proud of himself when he sits on there. Like such a big kid!! The potty seat has been okay but we are having problems with him being uncomfortable while sitting there because his legs are just dangling and he could fall off the toilet at any point. So I'm thinking we might get a potty chair and try that soon. I haven't lost hope for the potty seat though because I know it will come in handy for when he's ready for the big toilet. Such a proud Momma and Dad!! :)
