A Sunday in Eskridge

Today we spent the evening in Eskridge celebrating Mike's cousin and God Daughter, Brooke's birthday. We were invited for her infamous "No Silverware" birthday supper. They take large pots and put in shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes, onions, and add a Cajun crab boil seasoning bag then you let it cook for a couple of hours. When it's finished you drain the water and lay it out in the middle of the table for everyone to eat with their hands. It's fabulous and every dinner should be this way!! :)
While we were there Wyatt took full advantage of the aunts, uncles, and grandparents who would hold him and cater to his every whimsy. He got his Poppa Joe to take him next door to a road grater that was sitting there and convinced him to let him get inside of it.

After eating we got to spend some time sitting around talking and just watching the kids play. Wyatt and Adrian loved the motorized dump truck Tim and Leslie had and at times things got heated between them both seeing who got to drive it while the other watched but it was all in good fun.

It was a great lazy afternoon spent with family! I couldn't ask for anything more. :)
