Easter Eggs

This year we had another first. It's hard to believe that at the age of 23 months there would be "firsts" at holiday time but we definitely had one.
We colored Easter eggs with Wyatt for the first time today and it was probably the most stressful fun I've ever had. He watched everything so intently and wanted to help in so many ways, especially at tipping the cups over. We started dipping eggs and once they were in the dye he would forget about them until I would go to check on them and then he would say "ohhh" when he got to see them again. This was also a great color lesson. We got to really find out if he knew them or not and apparently he does!!
Dipping the eggs

After the first dip we decided to move him back to his high chair for safe-keeping!

Helping dad

So funny! He loved the little shrink wrap things.

Some of the finished eggs.

Once the eggs dried then we got to decorate them with stickers and little shrink wrap that had different designs. This was by far Wyatt's favorite part. He loved the little shrink wrappers and pretty much played with them the whole time while Mike and I colored eggs for him to look at. He did well with the stickers but he really wanted to put them on himself and not the eggs. So not very many stickers got on eggs but he loved them none the less.

Awwing over the stickers.

Trying to put the tiny stickers on the egg.

Overall this was a great first and can't wait for next year when we get to do it all over again!! :)
