Allergies-Penicillan

That is what I circled at Wamego Drug as I was picking up Wyatt's new medication for his ear infection. We still have a slight rash that is now mainly on his neck and shoulders. His back and stomach have cleared up much more and there is hardly one there at all.

I called the doctor again today and got the run around this morning but at lunch I called back and talked to the nicest receptionist ever. Thank you, Patty!! She was so helpful and went and found the nurse for me so that I could talk to her right then and not leave ANOTHER message. I talked to the nurse and told her that I don't feel comfortable giving him the current medicine and that I wanted a different medicine. She asked me what pharmacy to send the prescription to and told me she would call me soon after talking to the doctor.

She called me back in 15 minutes!!! :) SUCCESS!

Wyatt is now on Cefdinir, which is what he took for his last ear infection and did great on. So we took our first dose tonight and he is feeling much better. Tonight was even the first night that he ate a lot of food for supper. He is really starting to act like his old self. The only thing we are still experiencing since being sick is the sleepiness. He has gone to bed before 7pm every night since being sick. Hopefully this is just a phase because I don't want him going to bed even earlier once daylight savings time hits!
