Today we went to the ENT in Manhattan and the verdict is...tubes! Dr. Pease thought he would be a great candidate for tubes and we have scheduled the surgery. I have to say the scariest thing about the whole process was being the "designated signer" for Wyatt's insurance form at the doctor's office. I had to sign my name to a paper saying "death" as an option for getting tubes. It was nerve-racking to say the least.
Wyatt's appointment is for Monday. We won't know what time he has to come in until Sunday night. They go in order from youngest to oldest. We were told at the scheduling appointment that he wasn't the youngest and he wasn't the oldest scheduled for that day. So he's somewhere in the middle. Overall, the process takes fifteen minutes and we should only be at the hospital an hour max.
I hope that this procedure will help with his ear infections and keep future ones from reoccuring. Here's hoping!!
I don't think you will regret the decision! Jack hasn't had an ear infection since his tubes and his overall head congestion stuff is 100% better! Good luck and keep us posted!
